Holidays Via Skype

I am so thankful for technology, aren't you?

Instead of missing family this Christmas, do what we did last year!

Three of my brothers (3, 4 & 5) and I were at Mom's house in New Mexico. One of my brothers was in Florida.

So he wouldn't feel left out,my hubby set up Skype on his laptop. And it was like he was right there.

Brother #6 was jealous that he was in the warm climate of Florida and we had SNOW! He's hot natured. He was green with envy.

So he made himself a snow man...

Get it?

And because brothers 4 & 5 are so mature, they responded by making dork faces to #6 half the day.

We showed #6 and his amazing wife our Mom making her famous chocolate cream pies...and rubbed it in that he wasn't there to get any.

Again, he was green with envy.

And when we gave my mom a washer and dryer from all of us, #6 was right there watching all of us cry. That's Brother #3 there in the background, who organized this shenanigan for mom...we called it Project Mom's House Is Gonna Burn Down If We Don't Replace That Dryer That Never Turns Itself Off. #6 spent the whole day with us. He even watched us play outside.

Laptops are pretty mobile, you understand.

Thank you, Inventor of Skype, for bringing families together, so moms can cry.

And good grief my family is weird.

And you should see our kids. Poor weird kids.

Just added your blog to my favorites list. Would read more, but it's midnight and I have much work tomorrow.
